Åke and me

June 15th, 2009 by par hoglund

I can still remember.

Good old memories …
We had some fun – didn’t we …

The stadium became our home.
The crowd loved us, and we loved them back.
I was standing by your side at the top of the world.

Internship report #1
——————–

12 weeks have now past and I have to say its been 60 great, hard, weird, wonderful, frustrating, exciting, odd, sad - toppendays! I decised to split my time between 2 agencies, Storåkers McCann and Locomotiv, like night and day/ though equally good but in different ways.
It was a little confusing in the beginning of the intern period, to not be the head of your own project like in school and to find your place among all those supercreators but it worked out well and facing problems like that also meant I was lucky, to learn from the best!
So I put on my shinyest internglasses and learned as much as possible and hopefully gave a little Emma in return!

…and to Storåkers and Locomotiv, THANK YOU FOR HAVING ME, LOVELY GIFTS AND GREAT TIMES!

May the financial crisis be with us all!

My farewell gift to Garbergs became a great success. It kind of took three days to prepare but it was worth it. Good fortune to all of you!fortune_garbergs14fortune_garbergs22

Last day as an intern

June 12th, 2009 by Petra

This is my last day as an intern and the whole office is being treated to dinner tonight at some fine dining spot. And to warm up before dinner, one of our flash developers has prepared a super exciting super quiz for us to take part in! The excitment has spread around the office, things like this don’t happen everyday. So to sum up -this is a great day.

Next week is back to school week and I’m excited to see and hear from everyone again. But once midsummer passes I will be back here for a little longer. But that’s then and today I’m mostly looking forward to my thank-you-for-being-such-a-great-intern-present!

This week

June 10th, 2009 by Philip Astmar

This week I’ve been to New York. I’ve partied A LOT and went for a bunch of touristbuses. The Webbyawards was unbelivable! Both the cermony and the afterparty was spectacular! I’ve met very interesting people in the business. I’ve learned that the American advertising people knows three things from Sweden. North Kingdom, Farfar and Hyper Island. Nice!
To get a complete recap of my trip check my New what blog here. (Swedish)

I ♥ GW

I love it here, for a number of reasons.

Mostly because of all the talent that is squeezed between Great Works’ walls. That, along with an unpretentious atmosphere. During my ten weeks here have been working my butt off on various projects and received lots of responsibility. So what’s even greater is that I’m staying, permanently! After my internship and a little summer break I’ll be back as an art director.

Suddenly Stockholm is not so bad after all. Sorry for complaining all year at Hyper about the dull nightlife, Lycke Li-knutar etc etc. I take it back. Or no I don’t, but I can live with it cause I quite like it here at the moment.

I haven’t gotten around to take any pictures at the office so I’ll give you something better: cute animals!

Last week as an intern

June 8th, 2009 by marcusogren

It’s been fun. Really. Not that I’ve been laughing my ass off every single morning, but it’s been an adventure for sure.

So let’s resume what I’ve done so far.

First of, I did some AE sketches for a banner in a pitch for Siemens:

Bannersketch, Siemens

Between banners and some other typical intern trash work, I’ve been involved with two larger campaigns. This first one was for AXA and the launch of their new snack. The concept for the campaign site is quite simple. Sanna Kallur tells you that it’s easy to lack in performance if you’ve missed out on a meal or snack, because you’re low on bloodsugar. And it’s then followed by some fun clips on people that fucks up.

AXA Mellanmål

Unfortunately, I can’t show you anything from the other campaign site just yet. But I can give you a sneak peak inform of the downloadable screensaver for the campaign. Can’t give you the final screensaver application, only the flash that the saver is based upon (note that “smartpunkten.se” isn’t live yet) (note2: the scrsvrs original format is 1680×1050 and the pictures rotates after 30 seconds):
Screensaver

That’s about it I guess. There are tons of sketches, but it’s to time consuming to upload all of them.

See ya’ll on wednesday next week!
